Nandrolone, also known as 19-nortestosterone or nandrolone decanoate, is an anabolic steroid that is a derivative of testosterone, which can be produced in minimal amounts by the human body during intense or prolonged physical exertion.
The synthetic form of nandrolone was created in the 1950s but became commercially available in 1962 as nandrolone decanoate under the brand name Deca-Durabolin by Organon.
